The Importance of Imaan

It's been quite a while since I last sat down and wrote anything on here and I have to say I missed it but recently I've been quite lost for words. Literally. I'll be very honest, my Imaan hasn't been at it's all time peak recently and if you are reading this, please make du'a for me in sha Allah. As a Muslim, and indeed a human being, naturally you will experience moments where you don't feel the utmost closest to your Creator- and in my eyes that's ok. Times like these help you to become closer and closer to the Deen in my eyes. Just about this time last year, I started to practice Islam and oddly enough, what brought me closer to the religion was the feeling of loss. No tragedy had happened, I just felt a loss within my own self I felt very alone. When I found Islam properly, I realized that I did have a purpose and I wasn't alone. However, in my moments of low imaan recently, I felt that isolation again and it was honestly painful and it brought me straight back. Sometimes we forget it is not the Lord who needs us, yet it is us who need the Lord- for support and for love. The undying, unconditional, unwavering love that we all search for in humans, we'll never find it, unless we find it with Allah SWT. Without religion, without Islam, what is there really to live for? Without hope of gaining His love and gaining reward in the afterlife, what is the point of this life? Without Islam and the God who put you on this earth, who are you?
I hope this year is a blessed year for everyone In sha Allah and I hope it helps to strengthen us in every way in sha Allah.

"And they will say: All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has guided us to this, never could we have found guidance, were it not that Allah guided us!" [Al-A'araaf, 7:43]
